The new biennial Flash Forward Festival is a natural expansion of the annual Flash Forward Competition for Emerging Photographers, providing a setting for all interested emerging photographers to gain essential exposure, experience, and networking opportunities as they develop their careers as artmakers. Held this year in Toronto's vibrant Liberty Village neighbourhood from Oct 6-10, 2010, the Flash Forward Festival is unique among North American visual arts events. Participants made important industry connections, met gallerists and potential patrons, and found out the best ways to present their work while being exposed to new audiences.
